GB HEAD TO LATVIA
Great Britain head to Daugavpils for the FIME European Pairs Final on Saturday, (2:15pm BST) GB were seeded directly through to the Final after a Bronze medal return from the same event last season in Lonigo, Italy.
Daugavpils, a town situated in southern Latvia, approximately 230km from Riga plays host to the showpiece event and will feature SGP regular Andzejs Lebedevs in their three man team.
Great Britain select two of last season’s Bronze medal winners in Tom Brennan and Leon Flint, with Adam Ellis recalled to this event after top scoring for GB in the 2023 Final in Opole in Poland.
This will be the first time the trio have featured in the same GB lineup since Great Britain’s historic Test Match win against USA in Bakersfield, California back in February.
The 8 team event will also see SGP regular Jan Kvech representing Czech Republic, while last year’s Gold medalist Denmark are lead by Leon Madsen.
