GB HEAD TO CZECH REPUBLIC

GREAT Britain youth boss Neil Vatcher is excited to see yet another new generation hit the track for their country.

Luke Harrison, Will Cairns and Jody Scott will herald another slice of history when they represent GB in the FIM European Under-19 Pairs final in Plzen this weekend.

It will be a new experience for the precocious trio who have shown huge signs of progress so far in 2025.

Vatcher said: “I’m delighted and excited to take these lads onto the international stage.

“It’s yet another generation of talent coming through for Great Britain.

“Since the British Youth Championship was set-up, we’ve had a steady stream of talent coming through.

“We’ve seen the likes of Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley, then Tom Brennan, Drew Kemp, Anders Rowe and more recently Leon Flint and Dan Thompson.

“Now it’s Luke, Will and Jody. I’ve known these lads and their families for probably a decade and I’m proud to see them make the grade and take a big step forward.

“Of course in some ways the hard work starts here for them.

“It’s always the acid test to make your mark on the world stage. But the good thing is that they are starting this at such a young age.

“They are massively-talented lads and it will be fascinating to see how they adapt against tough opposition.

“As usual we always go to win or a medal at least. But the main thing is that we see the lads get experience in new environments.”
