GREAT BRITAIN ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH WALSH SPORTS
The Great Britain Speedway Team has today announced a partnership with Bolton based shoe specialist WALSH Sports.
WALSH are the last British owned and designed manufacturer of traditional footwear, with continuous manufacture in Bolton, England since 1961.
The partnership will see WALSH become the official footwear supplier to the Great Britain Team and will feature a specially designed WALSH x GB Speedway Team STRIKE trainer.
The multi year agreement will showcase the WALSH brand and company logo throughout the GB platform both online and at live events to include the highly anticipated return of the FIM Speedway World Cup in July.
Great Britain’s Managing Director, Rob Painter said, “The WALSH story is a fascinating one, we are privileged to partner with a brand that has so many sporting successes and is the last remaining British owned manufacturer of traditional footwear in England.”
WALSH Sports Managing Director, Jon Crompton said “The collaboration with the Great Britain Speedway Team is an exciting prospect for WALSH, we are proud to support British teams and are enthusiasts of motorsports. Although Walsh is known for Athletics footwear it will introduce a new market for our casual trainers.”
